Join us for a weekend of brilliant performances and tributes honoring his lasting impact on music and his pivotal role in restoring Poland’s independence.

Dr. Maria Stratigou is an award-winning Greek pianist and scholar, holding a PhD from the Royal Northern College of Music as a recipient of major fellowships including the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation and the North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership. She is the 2024 recipient of the Gina Bachauer International Music Association Discography Prize for her acclaimed recordings of the complete piano works of Louise Farrenc, and has also won top honors including the Jock Holden Memorial Mozart Piano Prize and multiple national competitions in Greece. An internationally recognized performer and researcher, she has presented prize-winning work at global conferences and premiered new compositions across Europe.

The premiere piano festival in Raleigh is curated by Artistic Director, Adam Wibrowski. This, the 13th annual, four-day event is a fitting tribute in Raleigh to the world famous competitions in Warsaw, Bydgoszcz, and Los Angeles!
